Should you take a break in between fresh cycles?
If you are considering another fresh cycle or a frozen embryo transfer, WFC recommends one month break following your recent fresh cycle to allow your body and hormones to return to normal. This month is a great opportunity to regroup, undergo counselling, further investigations and to catch up with Dr Fong. Thereafter, you are encouraged to contact WFC through their patient portal.
A month break is not required following a frozen embryo cycle.

New cycle
If you’ve taken a break from fertility treatment, it’s important to check the following before contacting WFC to book for a new treatment:
- During your last consultation with Dr Fong, a treatment plan would have been prescribed based on your health, investigations and conditions. The treatment plan expires six months from the date of prescription. If your situation has changed, a new treatment plan is required.
- A consultation with Dr Fong is required for every FRESH cycle to prescribe a new treatment plan.
- Ensure that the following remains valid (ie less than 12 months) until the completion of the new treatment:

Staying in touch with Dr Fong
If your last consultation with Dr Fong has been more than six months, it’s likely that your treatment plan, investigations and forms may be out of date. Please contact us if you are considering new treatment.
