Medicare
(A) Eligibility
(B) Medicare Rebate
With a valid referral letter and Medicare card, you are entitled to receive the following amount (approx) from your initial consultation:
- Same upfront fee applies whether one partner (P1) or both (P1 & P2) attends, as we’ve allocated the same duration for a comprehensive assessment and discussion.
- Medicare rebate and Out Of Pocket (OOP) amounts shown are for couples that attend together. If you’ve reached the Safety Net, you might be eligible for 80% refund of the OOP gap.
Payment
- Payment will be taken over the phone on the morning, prior to your appointment.
Medicare
(A) Eligibility
- You do not need a referral letter to see Dr Fong, however without a valid referral letter you will not be entitled to claim Medicare rebate.
- GP referral is valid for 12 months. Specialist referral is valid for 3 months.
- Both partner's names (per Medicare card) must be on the referral letter (or a separate referral for each partner is accepted).
- The referral letter should be addressed to Dr Fong.
- The referral letter must be dated the same day of the appointment or earlier.
- You need a valid Medicare card to claim Medicare rebate. Your Medicare card details are required to process your claim with Medicare after the consultation.
(B) Medicare Rebate
With a valid referral letter and Medicare card, you are entitled to receive the following amount (approx) from your initial consultation:
- $240.75 (Medicare rebate) when you attend ALONE;
- $378.40 (Medicare rebate) when you attend TOGETHER (with a valid referral letter that includes both partner's name).

Late arrivals |
To minimise the delay for other patients and the flow of the clinic, we may need to reschedule or reduce the length of the consultation if you are late. Please advise reception if you are running late as alternative arrangements may be possible.
