ENDOCRINOLOGY CONSULTATION FEES
As a precautionary measure, all consultations are conducted by TELEHEALTH (video/phone) until further notice. Same fees and Medicare rebates apply for Telehealth Consultation as Face to Face (see table below).

With a valid referral letter and Medicare card, you are entitled to receive the following approx amount (see "consultation fees" table).

- Payment will be taken over THE phone on the morning, prior to your appointment
Medicare
(A) Eligibility
- You do not need a referral letter to see Dr Fong, however without a valid referral letter you will not be entitled to claim Medicare rebate.
- GP referral is valid for 12 months. Specialist referral is valid for 3 months.
- Your name (per Medicare card) must be on the referral letter .
- The referral letter should be addressed to Dr Fong.
- The referral letter must be dated the same day of the appointment or earlier.
- You need a valid Medicare card to claim Medicare rebate. Your Medicare card details are required to process your claim with Medicare after the consultation.
- Please note this special Telehealth Medicare rebate is only available during this Covid-19 period as legislated by the government.
(B) Medicare Rebate
With a valid referral letter and Medicare card, you are entitled to receive the following approx amount (see "consultation fees" table).

Urgent appointments (within the week) are available for pregnant patients.

Late arrivals |
To minimise the delay for other patients and the flow of the clinic, we may need to reschedule or reduce the length of the consultation if you are late. Please advise reception if you are running late as alternative arrangements may be possible.
